*FOR CLASS*
Me thinking I was smarter than the rest, decided to take a short cut and just use one of my old blogs.
I should have known that she was going to ask us to write on it, and publish new posts. So in order to keep from confusing my usual audience, I will place *FOR CLASS* on a post that is FOR CLASS.
You can choose to read it, or ignore it- I guess it depends on how nosy you are. Haha...
But anyway, this post is about why I'm taking the class, and what I expect to get out of it. The class is COM 3330- for those who are like me, and think numbers mean NOTHING- that's News Reporting and Writing.
I'm honestly kind of intimidated, because I took a Writing for Communication class, and I FAILED it.
Yeah.
I'm a writer with a nice support system, and I failed a writing course.
Hopefully that doesn't interfere with this course, ey?

Texts From Last Night
(510): he said he didn't have a condom.
(415): and you said?
(510): that that's fine cause i was ready to be a mom. yeah - he magically had a condom he forgot about after that.

Breast I Ever Had...
Yeah...many men may not agree with me, but this video was garbage.
I guess it will boost Drake's record sales due to men, though.
But yeah...Kanye directed it...and seeing as his previous videos were amazing, I really have no idea what he was thinking. But whatever...
Maybe it's because I had expectations...you know? Pictured Drake with this one gorgeous girl...and then some kind of twist at the end...
But no.
Just breasts.
Breasts everywhere.
WTF.

Mike's Dead...

I recieved the text as I walked from aisle to aisle aimlessly at work, wondering why the hell I was still at Wal-Mart and not at some journalism internship submitting articles every day just to get rejected by this old fat man with no sense of creativity. I truly believed anything beat walking around in a dingy, 'Faded Glory' blue polo shirt. This was my everyday life, and Wally had TEMPORARILY become my world.
But when I received that text, my world stopped.
I figured it was a joke. It was so random…
…right?
My mother called me to confirm it because she knew how I felt about Mike, and I felt myself growing sadder as the truth set in.
Texts bounced back and forth between close friends and I, stating that he was dead, he wasn't dead, he was in the hospital...and then finally...the concrete black cloud of bad news hovered right over my spirit and put a damper on my life.
Many of you may be thinking-- damper on your life? Wow, this guy is being way too dramatic. It's not THAT serious.
No, reader. Yes. Yes it is.
Many don't know that my life and aspirations revolved around M.J. in a way. If you know me, you know I possess a long list of goals; 4 of them being:
1) Meeting Mike (he was allowing this for $5000 at some time in the past. If I had it, I would be there.)
2) Getting a hold of his wardrobe—all of it, with a deeper desire to capture the red and black jacket from the Thriller film, as well as the red jacket with the zippers from the Beat It music video.
3) Getting the same, or a close replica, of the car that appeared in Moonwalker. Yes...the car that he transformed into when he was cornered by those bad guys. The car that traveled at the speed of light
4) I also wanted a panther to live in the backyard of my writer's mansion, and now that I think of it— it must be inspired by Mike's morph...after crashing those car windows, and the store glass. Remember that?
Yeah.
I don’t know what it was about Mike (or what it is about me), but he captured my attention and kept it for years. As a child, I would record those marathon specials that VH1 and MTV would occasionally play, and watch the tapes over and over like a favorite movie. I studied him. When the part in the video where he performed Billie Jean at the Motown special would come on, I would rush to my closet, stuff on my little loafers, and turn my room into the theatre for a few moments. My eyes would remain glued to the T.V. screen as he would introduce the moonwalk for the first time ever, and I would get chills every time—as if it were the first time ever— right before attempting to do the same. When Black or White would come on, I would stretch out my undershirt a little bit, and stomp through flames with hidden images of anarchy just as he did. When Beat It came on, I would lay in my bed and jump up just as he did, somehow placing a jacket on in the middle of my impromptu choreography. If you happen to be a good friend of mine, you know about my head snap as well (snapping my head to one side or the other along with the beat). Yeah…I got it all from him. He was my older brother, my only influence in a life with no father figure.
I remember when I was really young, I would dig through my grandmother’s albums and pull out the ‘We are the World’ single featuring M.J, as well as half of the industry. Of course it wasn’t all Mike, but something as simple as hearing him seemed to have an effect on me—and it still does. Whenever I’m having a bad day, stressed, or just plain tired of hearing the same old crap being played on the radio, I always seem to find myself slipping in a Mike mix, and then proceeding to sing off tune. My ex girlfriends have had to deal with me chasing them down the street screaming, “hey, pretty baby with the high heels on!” or blasting Dirty Diana in my room as I gyrated my body, seemed to fondle myself and sing to them way off key (I believe that video is where my fetish for legs was derived).
Over a decade later, as I partied at Opera nightclub with my lady friends the night after his death, I realized that I wasn’t the only one who seemed to be deeply affected by Mike’s art. People danced to old school, new school; I swag surfed with a guy, bounced around to the chant of all white bricks, and admired the VJ’s parallel alignment of video and audio. But it wasn’t until the familiar whoosh mixed in with a wolf’s howl that people went ballistic.
They knew what was coming.
“It’s close to midddddniight, and something evil’s lurking in the daaarrrkkk…”
The audience’s level of excitement shot up and split through the energ-o-meter.
People started to reenact the Thriller video all around me as M.J. stared down at us from an HD television.
The VJ didn’t stop there. He played a snippet of hit after hit, and it just drove people crazy. The bass kick of Billie Jean was more intoxicating than the shots of Patron we took pleasure in. He controlled out bodies with his voice—as well as the instrumentals. Something a lot of people can’t seem to do these days.

Most people express themselves throughout writing, dancing, and singing. Michael had all three of these forms of art wrapped up in his glittery white glove-- even at times recreating what it meant to do these 3 things.
What most people fail to realize is, Mike told stories in a genius type of way. He wanted the world to feel good. He wanted people to realize that it aint too much for them to jam. He wanted the world to come together-- bring peace. He also wanted to do what he did best-- entertain.
What other artist do you know can wrap up good messages, amazing beats, and compelling dance moves into one and dish them out to the world to consume?
Yeah.
Some people just fail to recognize genius.
Like the a$$hole that rung me up when I was buying Michael Jackson Number Ones for the second time.
“I see everybody’s buying all this Michael Fagson stuff now.”
I glare at him.
“You ever heard this song,” he continues. “I pledge allegiance to the flag, Michael Jackson is a fag.”
I take the CD from him and advise myself not to slap him across his ignorantly ugly face with it.
“I guess I have to say was now, since he’s dead. He was a fag.”
I force myself to depart so I don’t stuff the CD down his throat and force him to recite every song on the album.
Backwards.
Things didn’t get any better when I tuned into CNN later that night, and some stuck up, snooty old man was amplifying all of the problems M.J. faced when he was alive. The molestation charges, the plastic surgery, the perm, the bleaching…he went on and on until I couldn’t take it anymore. I can’t stand people who act like they know everything about everything when they know nothing about something.
Read that again.
In my life, Mike has changed the way he has looked more than three times. He has had different pigments, different hairstyles, different lips, a different nose…but the only time his sound changed is when it changed for the better.
Like an innocent child, I never noticed his skin color...I was always too absorbed in the music. I was too captivated by the way he moved, and the perfect ad libs that fit into every open pocket of his songs. The messages that he sent that as a child, I didn’t quite understand, but as I got older, I realized what he was really about.
“Oh! He’s saying ‘I don’t know’, there?! Oh my God! He’s answering himself! What a genius! ‘Ana are you okay? I don’t know! I don’t know!’”
To this day, Mike is still setting records. His music was, and will forever be timeless...so you can get tired of them playing his songs and videos back to back, but to be frank...I never will. Along with the millions of others who supported the world's greatest talent. Hate if you want...he has over 200 songs that have been unreleased.
The king will live on.
And on the contrary, if you never liked Mike before, and are just now hopping on the crossing bandwagon...welcome. It's never too late to change religion.
My sister texted me to inform me she was crying.
I replied, "It's okay. I understand. Trust me. THat guy was a damn genius. Without him, there wouldn't be a lot of things. And people made fun of him and stoned him. Didn't understand him. All he wanted to do was help mankind, and we cursed him into hiding. Now he's hiding, and the world mourns."
She responded, "Pleeeassseee write something tonight. Please."
I did.

WHO/WHAT IS HOLLYWEERD? "CHANGE"
Lenny’s.
12:13 A.M.
A variety of music blasts from speakers surrounding the bar as people socialize, drinks in hand.
I ask her, “You here to see Hollyweerd?”
“Huh?” She glances up at me, Pabst Blue Ribbon in hand. “Highly weird? What’s that?”
No, not highly weird, though that description fits them like a missing screw. Hollyweerd; a group that some would call a “megazord”— equipped with Demond “The Dreamer” Toney, Chris “The Love Crusader” McAdoo, Tuki Carter, and Jaye “Stagolee” Price.
But who exactly are these guys?
The Dreamer, 24, was born in Oakland California. He moved to Atlanta, and attended Georgia State University to pursue a degree in Film Production. The Love Crusader, 24, is a full time tattoo artist at the illustrious City Of Ink tattoo parlor. Stagolee, 24, who is originally from Alabama, has just been here for five years. Alumni of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Stago calls himself an artist, musician (he is also a member of the talented jazz group, Jaspects), and educator. Tuki, 27, was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is the co-owner of City Of Ink. I asked him if he was enrolled in college, and he smirked as he lit a joint with a Slim Jim tucked in his ear. “Nah…I quit.” He replied. “I’m a college drop out before Kanye.”
Some may ask ‘who is Hollyweerd?’
Or, better yet, ‘what is Hollyweerd’?
Allow them to explain it to you.Stago says,” Hollyweerd is a mastermind, master group that can prepare everybody’s creative energies.” According to The Love Crusader, Hollyweerd is nothing less than a “talented group formed by 4 dudes with a common bond of dope music.” He continues, “We’re trying to have an outlet of music outside of what people are accustomed to. We were all in school and known as the “different kid”, may not have had straight As, you know…Bs…Cs…Ds…”
The Dreamer screams out, “Fs!”
The Love Crusader laughs and continues, “And its not because you were dumb. You may have been thinking about a song, or you may have been doodling. You may have had an imagination that you just couldn’t control. I remember as a student I used to draw on my tests! It’s for the people who were different, the people who felt they were a little bit weird, or didn’t fit in. This is music for those weirdos, man. Hollyweerd is change.”
That may be the most adequate allegation yet, seeing that both The Love Crusader and The Dreamer were born on November 4th, the same day America’s first black president was elected to be the 44th president of the United States of America.
Irony?
Many may wonder, how could such a random group of men bond together to form such a brilliant brand? Sadly, Nobody may ever know the answer to that, but what we do know is— Atlanta is known to be a very fertile mother to talented artists.
Hollyweerd is the newborn; Atlanta’s musical toddlers with promising potential.

Skin Deep
To my fellas...have you ever seen this FLY chick in the club, in the cafe, in the library, on the bus, train, or anywhere ever? From head to toe, she has it going on- everything you like in a woman, it seems she has- equipped in her outer appearance. From her legs to her lips, from her walk to her stance...She...is...BAD. You gather up your courage to go speak to her (or for the shy guys like me- you just wait for that chance to bump into her and have no choice but to talk), and when she opens her mouth you're just...like......egh.
Or for my ladies...have you even seen this dude who takes your mind off of the present every time you see him, and forces you to think about your future- with him? Maybe that's too storybook...so let me bring it down a notch. Have you ever seen a guy who seemed to be your type from head to toe- Swavor ("...mix the swag with the flavor-- yeah, you got swavor..."--J. Money) on point, so you couldn't help but want to get to know? You do your flirt thing, and catch his eye, and throw him foolproof hints that you want him to walk over and introduce himself...he may, but if he doesn't you walk over to him...aggressive...I like! You two start to talk, and as the conversation lengthens, your attraction to him lessens. He's boring, a square, or just not what you expected.
It's disappointing, and I've felt like this many times before.
It makes you frustrated...you wonder- 'why can't this person be as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the outside?'
Myths of Racial Perceptions
On Tyra's show the other day, the issue of interracial dating was discussed. The following quotes were said by the people chosen to confer this particular issue:
Black Woman: No one understands how hard it is for a black woman. I’m educated. I was always raised to be able to take care of myself because if a black man didn’t want me than I would have to still be able to raise my kids and take care of myself. But what hurts so much is that even after accomplishing all this, black men don’t want me, white men don’t want me, Asian men don’t want me, and Latin men don’t want me. It is so discouraging because at the end of the day, I hear these stereotypes [about black women]-- I’m loud. I’m aggressive. I’m gonna beat my man up or whatever and that is not the case”
White Man: I think white girls that go out with black guys are sluts
Black Woman: Asian women are like black men. They step out on their community. He has issues within himself and he gets a white trophy on his arm for show. Black women are educated. They want a strong man basically we’re (black women and white men) are on the same level. We have the same goals
White Woman: I wasn’t brought up that way. I come from a Christian family. I was told not to date out of your race. My grandparents and my parents have told me not only once, but a lot of times that it’s in the bible that you’re not supposed to date outside of your race.
White Man: It’s sexually derived because stereotypically, black guys are bigger.
Understand that there are STILL people in the world who think like this in 2009-- the year our first African American president has been inaugurated.
You may watch this video or read these statements and believe that these orators are crazy. But due to our society, you may not be too much better yourself.Succe$$ful?
Yeah…
I don’t want an instrumental…I want the people to feel me.
Let’s go.
I want the money (money),
and the cars (cars),
and the clothes (clothes),
the hoes (hoes)—I suppose…?
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
But what exactly is success?
Is it breaking your neck and back, being constantly stressed?
Is it meeting your potential, or just being the best?
Is it helping people up, or knocking down the rest
-of the competition
just to reach your vision?
Executing all your plans and making decisions?
Is it Prada bags, Dolce shades, True Religions?
Is it flying high as an eagle, or flocking low with pigeons?
Ha…the questions still remain,
and no matter how much they owe, some people never change
So don't Depend on it—just hold in your bowels
though even from some shit may come some pretty flowers
Yeah… just make sure you don't swallow any bull shit,
because you'll start seeing and believing stuff-- aint that a trip?
The pressure tries to bend me, but I just laugh,
because I’m straighter than the bar of the 'S' in ca$h
Are there bars through the 'S' in success, too?
Be careful, or you’ll slip on world's filth and land in the cesspool
of people who’re in a mind stating that they want to be more
along with others who just seem to cherish sleep more
so they dream, and stimulate them with speech
--talking,
but never execute, so it turns out they were just sleep walking
Being passive is just failure is disguise
so make sure you get up, and wipe the crust out of your eyes
Touch your goals, place your hands on your dreams
and focus on exactly what YOUR success may seem to be
I want the money (money),
and the cars (cars),
and the clothes (clothes),
the hoes—I suppose…?
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
NFL player sitting in all this money
Asleep in bed with a warm spoon of honey
It may seem he has everything he could ever want
But that's false, because he knows he doesn't fully have her heart,
because the flash is actually what she really wants
All the money, cars, clothes, and jewels for her to flaunt
He lost his soul during his failed attempts to please her
Yet he only sees her smile when she swipes the Visa
Pardon me, the black card- her style stays ahead of the season
She just wants his money, yet he believes that he needs her
Not realizing that as long as the card works
She'll be more than glad to suck him off until her jaw hurts
Then she’ll comes to me whispering these sweet things
But her words are lifeless and hold no meaning
Baby, I'm afraid I'm smart enough to see through it
Though my whole life I’ve remained a C student
A Morehouse man just graduated, a degree in finance
But due to this economy, he doesn’t have a chance
With his piece of paper that used to get you piece of papers
Now his dilated hopes and dreams have been deflated
He’s hungry, but can’t get a single slice of the pie
And he sits back wondering “Why? Why did I even try?
There’re people that didn’t do a thing for four years—but play
And I’m now sitting with them in the same place—what a waste.”
How about the old man who made billions?
So focused on his work that he didn't have children
He lost himself on his quest to find fortune
And now he’s a lone soul trapped in his fortress...
Success?
I want the money (money),
and the cars (cars),
and the clothes (clothes),
the hoes—I suppose…?
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
I just want to be…I just want to be successful
They say to get to success, you ride a long road
With diversions, bumps, turns and some man holes
You may see people speeding, but you should move slow
So you don’t miss a turn, and end up in the wrong zone
To hinder misguidance, I have maps in my console
To lead me to the place that’s already forebode
I try to practice patience and deal with upgrading,
because I know that some roads and paths are always changing
Yeah…I look out the window in amazement
Knowing I can’t buy happiness with cash, but it’s a down payment
Keep your face clean, be proactive
Kicked denial out my car, though she was so attractive
Sorry, but I didn’t need that distraction
She was a fraction of amusement, I needed whole satisfaction
And when failure seems to be the only thing left to see
I’ll seal an envelope with faith, and send hope to my dreams.

MusiQuick.

Check it out whenever you get a chance.
ALSO, do NOT be fooled by the foolish attempt at fame if you haven't already...
After anticipating for the "new" Drake mixtape- Friends with Money by Empire Mixtapes (yeah, the guys that SCREAM all over records so that you can't even hear the song..."This is an EMPIRE exclusive. If you don't hear the drops...blah...blah."), I realize that there isn't ONE new song on the whole mixtape!

May be new to those who don't know Drake, and have JUST hopped on the bandwagon...but to the followers since Room for Improvement, it's a waste of time. It's all old music terrible mixed...and if you want a nice mix of his hottest joints-- nicely mixed with no drops, click HERE.
Yeah.
Also, my wife Chrisette has released a new album-- Epiphany!

Make sure you pick that up-- so far, she has outsold Ciara. No hate to the Goodies girl, but I'm so happy that REAL music is finally doing the numbers it should be doing.
Yeah.

Coming soon...to a theatre near you!
Meet Caleb Tyler Johnson. Born in east Atlanta- Decatur to be exact, he is a perfect example of a young man who is the product of the choices he makes, in place of being a product of his environment. Though raised around goons and goblins, none of their characteristics seemed to rub off on him as they usually rub off onto the other African American children of the mean streets of east ATL. Currently residing in Lithonia, Georgia, he still remains a shining light beyond those who choose to only seek darkness in front of them instead of looking past the gloom which surrounds them. A sophomore at Valdosta State University, he is living every day to the fullest to better himself and achieve his goals- being happy with his productions once his career of film directing unfolds, or shall I say- unreels. Clad in a black graphic tee, black shorts, a black Atlanta hat, and black Nikes, you would take one look at him and come up with an assumption of who he is that is probably incorrect. Who is he? We'll let him tell you that...IY: Hello, Caleb.
CJ: Good evening, sir.
IY: It’s a pleasure being here with you…being able to talk to you about yourself…
CJ: (chuckles)
What are you doing right now?
Well, currently I’m a student- a sophomore. This is my second year at Valdosta State University. I’m persuing an education, trying to get my bachelor’s degree in Mass Media and Communications
Do you enjoy Valdosta State University?
I don’t.
You don’t??
I don’t.
Now why is that?
I would say the only reason I do enjoy it is because of the people, so anything beyond that would contribute to the reason that I don’t.
Now what is it that you like about the people? Usually it’s the other way around- a person doesn’t like a school due to the people.
When I say people I mean friends, not people- because(pauses)...I mean, everywhere you go, there’s going to be people. Some people are going to have good attitudes, some people are going to have bad attitudes- it’s just the people that I choose to aphiliate with.
So you’re telling me that the only reason you enjoy this school is because of the people that you hang around with- your circle of friends?
(Nods) Well, it’s not just that. I do admit that the school has a nice Mass Media program. I will admit that, but besides that...
Let's say a genie popped up out of nowhere and said 'Caleb Johnson, I will take you and your whole group of friends that you love and put you in any other school- free of charge. All enrollments taken care of and everything'- where would you go?
I would say Georgia State.
GA State? Not NYU, Harvard, or some prestigious film school in Hollywood?
I’d like to do that after I graduate. I don’t necessarily need friends to go to graduate school.
Why GA State?
Besides the fact that they also have a great film program, it’s also closer to home- not saying that I want to be at home, but if I ever needed anything, or if I ever needed to fall back on something…I would have home.
Is there anything that you want to achieve when you graduate college aside from a degree?
I mean, yeah…of course. I hope nobody goes to school just to get a degree. Like, I hope no one goes to school for law, then ends up owning a chain of McDonalds restaurants. I want to go to school and get this degree in film and production…create a number of films, movies, maybe even get involved in some television.
I see you mentioned both films and movies. Alot of people feel that a film and a movie are the same. Do you feel there is a difference between the two?
Yes, I do. There’s the movie which has a decent set up, a nice plot, and a group of fulfilling actors and actresses that are sure to steal your attention with their humor and emotion…Then there’s a film…a movie with a purpose…a meaning. Full of imagery and usually inspiring sincere emotion within the audience leaving them in a state of awe. A film leaves the audience wanting more…a film could be life changing.
What do you think you’ll be specializing in?
Film. I want to have people walking in and walking out with a new outlook. I want people to take something big or small from my creations and be able to apply it to their everyday lives.
Are there any actors and actresses that you would love to freeze, and then thaw out once you’re ready to begin filming?
Of course. Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Cicily Tyson, Terrance Howard, Jada Pinkett, Sanaa Lathan Don Cheadle…there are just so many, I can't even name them all. I'd just love a cast full of A-list acts.
Only the best for the best, right? Do you have an idea of what you would like your first movie project to be?
I don’t.
When you hear the name Tarantino, you think of wild, creepy, crazy, weird movies that are off the wall, and when you hear Spike Lee, you think of black empowerment and originality- because he’s very original with his work. When you think of certain actors, you think of certain movies. So when people hear Caleb Tyler Johnson, what would you like to cross their minds? Dane Cook once made a joke saying he was going to ‘Tarentino’ it and tell his story from end to beginning…so if someone were to say “I want to Caleb Tyler Johnson” it, what do you want them to say? What would you like your signature to be?
Have you ever seen Crash?
Of course.
When people saw Crash they sat in the theatre and realized how amazingly everything flowed together...then when the movie went off, people were still sitting in their seats, like…like that’s(Caleb seems to drift away as he seems to reminisce)...that was a really good movie, so my main focus is…when people see my films, I want them to walk out of the movie theatre talking about it. I want them to get into their cars and drive home talking about it. I want them to let up their garages, and get out of their cars talking about it. I want them to take showers talking about it. I want them to go to sleep talking about it.
And dreaming about it.
Dreaming about it, wake up talking about it. Breakfast…we’re still talking about it. Go to work- spread the word to everybody…and talk about it.
That’s powerful…that’s powerful. Now have you seen a movie that has done this to you?
(pauses) Have you seen Crash?
Are you planning on joining any fraternities at all while you’re in college for four years?
(chuckles after a pause) I mean, it’s a possibility, I will say that. I’m not going to count anything out.
Do you think the NPHC organizations are something you can look up to in a positive aspect? Is a fraternity something you would like to be a part of?
I think the idea of a fraternity is what I look up to, not necessarily the people that are involved in it. Because you can put on a front like you’re this business person when you’re trying to get into this organization, and then when you finally get into it, you act the fool, so it’s not necessarily the people that I look up to, but more so the idea itself.
What do you feel the idea of a fraternity is?
Brotherhood. Standing together, working together to better the community and putting all your ideas together as one. As well as standing up for whatever it is the fraternity stands for, of course.
Do you have any brothers?
(pause) Yes.
You seemed to pause before answering the question…is there a reason? Are you close with your brothers?
If you want to call it that…I mean…I really think that another reason I would like to be a part of a frat is to experience…
Brotherhood.
Brotherhood- exactly. Which is sad because even though I have four brothers, I’ve never experienced brotherhood at all.
Your mother a single parent, correct?
She’s…married.
She’s married. Okay, now is the husband in the house with her?
Unfortunately.
Unfortunately? Why is it unfortunate?
Because he might as well not be.
He might as well not be…so I guess he’s just wasting time, space, air, and food, huh?
Yes, wasting time, space, air…and…well not food, cause’ she doesn’t cook for him.
Why don’t they get a divorce?
(pause) That’s a long story…that’ll take up this whole article. (chuckles)
Okay, well we won’t get into that- that seems a little personal anyway. Back to you-do you have a girlfriend?
I do.
You do! How’s that relationship going?
I mean…every relationship is work….but I would say aside from distance, it’s going well.
There’s this rumor going around that you have the ladies…every time you’re seen, you’re also with an entourage…of mostly women. It’s said that Caleb Tyler gets the women! Would you consider yourself a ladies’ man?
No...I mean, I don't know. What does that mean, anyway? What is a ladies man?
I would say it’s a man who’s good with the ladies! Would you say you relate better with women than you do with men?
Of course.
Why?
I can say that I’ve never gotten along with men, or guys, or boys or whatever.
And why is this?
I can’t say…It just seems like whenever I’m with dudes I never feel relaxed. It’s like I always have to compete, or I always have to size myself up to them, or we’re always butting heads or we’re never getting along- we’re always fighting and arguing. And we’re talking about stuff that doesn’t interest me at all. With women it’s different.
Understandable. Now do you think it’s you bumping heads with them because you think they’re going to size you up and challenge you, or is it them actually challenging you?
It could just be me…it could.
Onto our next topic: Superman. I heard your nickname is Superman, I hear you love Superman, so I’d like to ask you where this Superman infatuation came from.I mean, there is the cartoon of course, but the character himself always stood for justice. He was an extra terrestrial being coming into a world completely unlike him. He has superhuman powers, and he stands out from everyone else when he is Superman. So that makes him different…and I think I’m different.
It’s known that Superman has two different personalities. Well maybe not two different personalities, but he disguises himself. Now when he’s superman he’s different, he’s extra terrestrial, he’s…super man! Powerful. But yet when he’s clark kent, or his being on earth- his disguise, he has the big glasses, he’s nerdy, and his position at his job is not that high in corporate America. Kinda like Peter Parker. Do you think that has anything to do with you as well? Do you think that when you walk amongst your peers you may be one person, but if someone is in need or something, or if somebody is in trouble, you turn into another person?
Exactly.
Exactly. So people may look down on you until they know exactly who you are...
And what I’m capable of.
What are you capable of, Caleb?
That’s what I’m trying to find out.
When did this start? Did you just come out the womb screaming 'Superman', or were you like ten years old when this fascination started?
I think It started when I was a little kid. I grew up on the animated series, and I used to watch Lois and Clark. (laughs) Then I got up on Smallville and all of that. Christopher Reeves in the Superman Movies….
And you felt that when you watched Superman, you had a special bond with him that you had with no other show or book that you’ve read.
You can put it like that.
How would you put it?
I’m big on fiction and imagination. It’s like my imagination is actually greater than my will. It allows me to escape reality for whatever purpose. Like…I can be sitting here watching superman getting all into it, then when it goes off…(pause). It’s kinda like clark kent real talk…like…he’s actually stuck in this situation. He’s attracted to this woman, but she doesn’t know it because she’s attracted to superman. He’s living an everyday life- hardships, reality, bills, all this mess…but when he steps into his phone booth and takes off the slacks, button up, and the tie he comes out…he has no worries. He’s superman. He doesn’t have to hide from anything, nor worry about anything…But kryptonite.
What is your Kryptonite?
A lot of people ask me that...and I can never give them a definite answer.
Well I will be the first that you do!
(Chuckles). Well I would say that it’s my emotions, because they tend to get the best of me sometimes.
You know how attracted Clark was to Lois, so tell me what are the qualities of your personal Lois? What would make you as attracted to a woman as Clark was attracted to Lois?
I need a woman who stands for something. Lois was the type of women who saw something she wanted, and went after it. If she saw a good story, she would go through anything and everything to get that story. And she’s going to have it on the editor’s desk within the hour that she gets it. So basically I want a woman who’s independent. I want a woman who stands for something, and I guess a woman who can at times be better than me, and pull me through during my weakest points.
Remember in Back to the Future when Marty went back in time and talked to his parents? Let's say you did something like the same thing. You’re from the future where you’re a star, you’ve done everything you’ve wanted to do, you’re successful, happy, and beyond content. What would you like to tell the people that read this article?
(laughs) Coming soon to a theatre near you!

Oh my...
I mean, T.I. vs Shawty Lo?
Can we even call that a hip hop battle?
"A wise man once told me don't argue with fools
Cuz people from a distance can't tell who is who!"-- Jay- Z
I thought TIP was gonna just let it go...I figured it didn't phase him anymore...
But we've all seen the no matter what music video- the subliminal shot (but not really) to Shawty Lo when he did the Paper Chase dance at the part where he says he "set the standard in Atlanta how to get get get it."- something that originated at Birthday Bash.
Then, TI puts out THIS...which was unexpected:
"Ay, what I care bout who you askin sayin they ain't heard of me
I'm certified certainly, them videos ain't hurting me...
I'm forever WESTSIDE, and the feather weight guy
Cuz I yelled BANKHEAD and you feel left out?
I aint mention your name, that's what all this bout??"
DAMN! (Flex, insert bomb here:___)
Shawty Lo responds with different videos and songs...but...I'm quite dissapointed in his attempts.
I mean at the end of the day, TI is a RAPPER...and Shawty Lo...is just a trap boy trying to rap to represent for the dope boys.
So...TI continues to clown around, and records the VIDEO FOR THE ABOVE SONG IN SHAWTY LO'S HOOD!!

And the trouble begins...
Three men held in a suspected race-hate plot to kill Barack Obama will not face any charges relating to an attempt on his life.
The authorities in Denver said that even though they had high-powered sniper rifles and were racists who said they wanted to kill Mr Obama to stop him becoming President, the case did not meet the legal standard to charge the men with a federal offence.
What the FUCK else do you need???!?!?!?!
For the assassination to happen????
Tharin Gartrell, 28, Shawn Adolf (haha...typical), 33, and Dwaine Johnson, 32, are to face charges of possessing firearms and the drug methamphetamine following their arrest.

The US Attorney for Denver, Troy Eid, said that while investigators were keeping an "open mind" an intensive investigation had found no evidence of a credible plan to kill Mr Obama as he accepted the Democratic nomination at Denver's Invesco football stadium tomorrow.
"There is a difference between a true threat and the reported racist rantings of drug abusers," said Mr Eid. "This involved a gang of meth-heads who were all impaired at the time."
The plot was only uncovered after police seized two high-velocity rifles, camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, wigs, a bulletproof vest and telescopic gun sights during a routine traffic stop.
One of the gang - who has the surname Adolf and was wearing a swastika ring - jumped from a sixth-floor window to escape after the FBI swooped on two hotels in the city.
Another denied being part of the plot, but reportedly said of Obama: 'Blacks don't belong in political office. He ought to be shot.'
The foiled 'hit' has sent shockwaves through the convention crowds pouring into the Colorado capital for the 47-year-old senator's Democrat coronation.
It heightened fears that Mr Obama is a target for the kind of politically-charged assassinations that claimed the lives of icons including John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
The Illinois senator has been under protection for more than a year following a string of death threats.
The latest plot unravelled after 28-year-old Tharin Gartrell was arrested driving erratically in a Denver suburb in the early hours of Sunday.
The FBI was immediately alerted after the guns, sights and disguises were found in Gartrell's rented pick-up truck.
Two of Gartrell's associates, Nathan Johnson, 32, and Shawn Adolf, 33, were arrested hours later in swoops on two hotels in the Denver area.
Adolf broke his ankle in his attempt to flee and was on $1million bail last night.
According to an arrest warrant "Adolf said that he wanted to kill Obama and additionally stated that he would specifically use a sniper rifle and high powered scope, and find high ground to set up and shoot Obama."
An unnamed female witness who drove to Denver with Adolf told Colorado State Patrol officers about possible threats against Mr Obama.
The witness said Adolf and Gartrell had talked "negatively" about Mr Obama using racial epithets. She believed they were "white supremacists." She said they "could not believe how close he was to becoming President".
FBI agents called to investigate the threat soon established that it was not credible. An FBI source said: "Even though Gartrell and Adolf had high-powered rifles they would not have been in a position to carry out an assassination. They could have not reached the intended target. These were just a couple of rednecks thinking out loud what they'd like to do."
The unemployed truck driver, a self-confessed methamphetamine user, first denied that there was a plot at all, but he then said: 'Yeah, they were here to do that, to assassinate him...it's about as hard for me to swallow as it is for you to understand.'
According to the U.S. television network CBS, Johnson said the other two men 'had planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech'.
Johnson reportedly told the network: 'He don't belong in political office. Blacks don't belong in political office. He ought to be shot.'
The FBI said that at least two of the suspects - thought to include Adolf - have ties to White Supremacist groups.
"Don't let your fears keep you from accomplishing your goals."
Lord be with us.

I hope you - Lee Ann Womack
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
Amazing song.
Need I say more?
Peace & Blessings
Lu
