He Sung

BLACKSBURG, Va. (April 16) - A gunman massacred 32 people at Virginia Tech in the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history Monday, cutting down his victims in two attacks two hours apart before the university could grasp what was happening and warn students.The bloodbath ended with the gunman committing suicide, bringing the death toll to 33 and stamping the campus in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains with this unspeakable tragedy, perhaps forever…
Who’s to determine what is right, wrong?
We live for today, but our dreams are life long.
Dreams can be ended by those quick to snap like pythons;
*Click* *clack* *boom*- that quick your life’s gone.
We fight to be bigger or better- no belief in neck n neck;
but everybody’s mortal- proved at Virginia tech.
33 people killed within 2 hours,
this terrorist act went down like 2 towers.
Within 2 hours over 2 dozen people dead,
since 7:15- too early? now eternally at rest.
What were we doing while this campus shooting?
-families recouping while some are out here ‘coupeing’.
Were we sleeping, pillows between our legs, warm and snuggly,
while these students’ dreams were just stopped abruptly?
Monday had students jumping out of windows to escape the pain,
9/11 had workers jumping out of windows to escape the flame.
We just heard he was a student- what was his motive?
Of all the lives taken, NONE of them were owed.
He had no escape, he was chained with flaws-
-he wanted no escape, so he chained the doors.
Walked in the room shooting- he knew what he was doing-
-Cuz handguns need reloading…
Calm face, serious expression.
Students hands stretched up, not to ask a question--
but to beg for mercy.
The remaining students said the shooting seemed to last forever.
Sending himself to hell- he achieved his last endeavor.
Families to mourn, forever and ever.
33 dead; the cause- still a mystery.
