I've been laying off the Battle Of Bankhead stuff because I thought it was just going to die off...
I mean, T.I. vs Shawty Lo?

Then, TI puts out THIS...which was unexpected:

White supremacists cleared of gun plot to assassinate Barack Obama

Three men held in a suspected race-hate plot to kill Barack Obama will not face any charges relating to an attempt on his life.

The authorities in Denver said that even though they had high-powered sniper rifles and were racists who said they wanted to kill Mr Obama to stop him becoming President, the case did not meet the legal standard to charge the men with a federal offence.

What the FUCK else do you need???!?!?!?!
For the assassination to happen????

Tharin Gartrell, 28, Shawn Adolf (haha...typical), 33, and Dwaine Johnson, 32, are to face charges of possessing firearms and the drug methamphetamine following their arrest.

The US Attorney for Denver, Troy Eid, said that while investigators were keeping an "open mind" an intensive investigation had found no evidence of a credible plan to kill Mr Obama as he accepted the Democratic nomination at Denver's Invesco football stadium tomorrow.

"There is a difference between a true threat and the reported racist rantings of drug abusers," said Mr Eid. "This involved a gang of meth-heads who were all impaired at the time."

The plot was only uncovered after police seized two high-velocity rifles, camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, wigs, a bulletproof vest and telescopic gun sights during a routine traffic stop.

One of the gang - who has the surname Adolf and was wearing a swastika ring - jumped from a sixth-floor window to escape after the FBI swooped on two hotels in the city.

Another denied being part of the plot, but reportedly said of Obama: 'Blacks don't belong in political office. He ought to be shot.'

The foiled 'hit' has sent shockwaves through the convention crowds pouring into the Colorado capital for the 47-year-old senator's Democrat coronation.

It heightened fears that Mr Obama is a target for the kind of politically-charged assassinations that claimed the lives of icons including John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.

The Illinois senator has been under protection for more than a year following a string of death threats.

The latest plot unravelled after 28-year-old Tharin Gartrell was arrested driving erratically in a Denver suburb in the early hours of Sunday.

The FBI was immediately alerted after the guns, sights and disguises were found in Gartrell's rented pick-up truck.

Two of Gartrell's associates, Nathan Johnson, 32, and Shawn Adolf, 33, were arrested hours later in swoops on two hotels in the Denver area.

Adolf broke his ankle in his attempt to flee and was on $1million bail last night.


According to an arrest warrant "Adolf said that he wanted to kill Obama and additionally stated that he would specifically use a sniper rifle and high powered scope, and find high ground to set up and shoot Obama."

An unnamed female witness who drove to Denver with Adolf told Colorado State Patrol officers about possible threats against Mr Obama.

The witness said Adolf and Gartrell had talked "negatively" about Mr Obama using racial epithets. She believed they were "white supremacists." She said they "could not believe how close he was to becoming President".

FBI agents called to investigate the threat soon established that it was not credible. An FBI source said: "Even though Gartrell and Adolf had high-powered rifles they would not have been in a position to carry out an assassination. They could have not reached the intended target. These were just a couple of rednecks thinking out loud what they'd like to do."

The unemployed truck driver, a self-confessed methamphetamine user, first denied that there was a plot at all, but he then said: 'Yeah, they were here to do that, to assassinate him...it's about as hard for me to swallow as it is for you to understand.'

According to the U.S. television network CBS, Johnson said the other two men 'had planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech'.

Johnson reportedly told the network: 'He don't belong in political office. Blacks don't belong in political office. He ought to be shot.'

The FBI said that at least two of the suspects - thought to include Adolf - have ties to White Supremacist groups.

"Don't let your fears keep you from accomplishing your goals."

Anyway, as i turn on my iPod- yeah, baby! My first Apple product!- and press shuffle, the first song that comes on is Sky's The Limit by Biggie Smalls & 112.
Wow...seeing what my goals for this semester entail, that was JUST the song I needed to hear.

Black Is Beautiful

As I sat in my apartment going through trash and crap that I brought with me from home(I'm the # 1 pack rat), I came accross a business card/ flyer that caught my eye.
I remembered who I got it from, some guy in Little 5 Points who was selling dope T-shirts out of one of those lil shops. He made, and printed them himself, and I would have helped out with his hustle, but I didn't have cash on me that day.
the joints were so fly though...
But anyway, I remember him giving me his card so I could connect with him on a later note.
i never took the chance to read the card, due to me always on the go, so I guess it resurfaced for a reason.
The card carried valuable information on it.
On the front of the card were the words Black Is Beautiful to the side of a gorgeous black woman with an afro, leaning her head to the side. The websites followed.
On the backside were the words:
